Since 1992, Emerald Design is a landscape architectural firm located in the city of Fullerton in Orange County, California. We have solid experience with public works, commercial and industrial projects, but we also enjoy working on a significant number of mixed-use residential and high-end custom residential projects. Our clients include developers, public agencies, architects, and contractors. We've provided services to well-known companies such as: Lowe's, Pier I Imports, Bircher Development, Western Realco, Lennar Partners, Alere, New Balance, K-Swiss, Majestic Realty, Catellus, Mann Biomedical, Expo Design Centers, McDonald's, Rally's, as well as CalTrans, and the cities of Los Angeles, Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, and Fullerton.
Since 1998 our offices have been located in the heart of downtown Fullerton at the historic and picturesque Villa del Sol. This centralized location gives us quick access for meetings in the Inland Empire, Los Angeles, High and Low Deserts, and North San Diego County. Over the years, we've developed a keen understanding of the individual character of each enclave of the Southern California Area. This allows us to develop innovative designs that enhance the unique flavor of each place.
The majority of our projects include preliminary landscape design where we explore the best options for our clients and develop illustrative representations of the proposed landscape concepts. We've been involved in a great many meetings with public agencies in both informal workshops and formal presentations at public hearings. We also have experience with the development of design guidelines and specific plan documents in coordination with other planning professionals.
With a few exceptions, all the landscape projects we design are developed through the construction document phase with observation of construction at the site. The construction drawings we typically provide include: demolition plans, hardscape layout plans and details, fine landscape grading plans, lighting layouts, hardscape details, irrigation plans, and, of course, planting plans.
We've provided these full services for just about every hardscape feature imaginable, such as: decorative street and pedestrian paving, patios, courtyards, plazas, cabanas, pools, spas, fountains, barbeque centers, outdoor fireplaces, monument signs, walls, fences, trellises, arbors, and others.
Emerald Design is unsurpassed in our progressive and highly successful in-house irrigation designs. Our plans are thorough and clear, and the systems we design are known for their dependability and ease of maintenance. We use our substantial experience to make sure the initial installation is economically viable, but durable as well, with an eye to the long term water savings and accurate application of water. Besides the location, size, make, and model of each and every sprinkler head, valve, fixture and pipe, we also provide all the necessary calculations for water conservation.
